FAQ /
What is the age range of your clients?
Our youngest has been 11 years old. Our oldest has been 87 years old. The majority of our clients range in age from lower 40's to mid 60's.
Do you have more female than male clients?
Throughout our training careers that ratio has seemed to even itself out.
What types of training do you do?
With the wide range of ages comes a wide variety of exercise programs. We specialize in strength training, toning, muscle building, weight loss, flexibility / range of motion, and speed & agility training. All are customized to each individual client.
How long are the workout sessions?
Individual sessions = approximately 1 hour
Partner sessions = approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes
How many times per week do you work with a client?
We always prefer to work with a client at least 2 times per week to start. If time allows... 3 times per week would be optimal. After a client feels comfortable with the exercises and doing them on his/her own, we prefer about 1 - 2 times every week or two for maintenance.
Our goal is not to work with a client for the rest of his/her life! (although that would be fun!) Our goal is to get you on your way so independent exercise becomes a part of your daily routine.
What times of the day do you train?
We currently train our clients from 5:30 am - 6:00 pm.
If you come to my home first thing in the morning, do you bring coffee and donuts?
Are you serious?! Maybe a healthy breakfast to follow!
Do I have to have my own equipment?
It is great if you do, but it's not necessary. We bring a travel weight set and miscellaneous training tools. If you are interested in purchasing some equipment to get you started, we can also help you with that process.
What type of equipment do you work with?
We have worked with several different universal / home gym machines. We also specialize in workouts using only free weights. We am also certified in fundamental training, which allows us to put someone through a workout using almost anything we can find in your home (preferably nothing breakable!). For athletes looking to improve speed and agility, all we need is space.
I have bad knees, and some other aches and pains. Am I still a candidate for personal training?
Of course! We have been very successful in working with clients that have had injuries in the past. Injuries usually act as an excuse for individuals to put off exercise. If properly trained, you can put those injuries behind you and begin to lead a healthier life.
Do you have any references that I could look into?
Absolutely! References are always available upon request. You can also visit our testimonials pages to read more.
I attribute my quick recovery to the great workouts with Chiseled Fitness.
